Investing in Safe and Accessible Infrastructure

A Green economy and Green infrastructure
The future is green, and the future of our economy is also green. Record high temperatures and recent extreme weather events have made it clear that climate change is an issue we MUST address immediately. There is no time, and we only have one planet. As we work to rebuild a community for future generations, Liz will welcome investments in green infrastructure and green technology. Not only will this help revitalize our community, but it will also make it safer for our children and grandchildren.

Accessible and Equitable Public Transit

In high school, Liz relied heavily on MetroTransit to get to her afterschool job on Route 64 - whether she made it to work on time depended heavily on catching the bus at just the right time. Liz will fight for increased investments to ensure that everyone in our community has access to an affordable and reliable public transit system.

Affordable Housing

Growing up in public housing, Liz saw firsthand just how important it is to have safe and affordable housing for families and seniors in our district. Liz also knows how important senior housing was to her grandma, who lived in a senior housing complex in our district until she passed. No one should have to stay up at night worrying about whether they can keep a roof over their family’s head. Liz will push for legislation and policies that increase investments in affordable housing on the Eastside.

Municipal Broadband

The future is here, and that means we need to make sure we connect every Minnesotan to the Internet. It has become clear that we cannot rely on ISPs which have not invested in critical infrastructure for years, to provide a quality connection so that all families can have access to healthcare visits and students can do their homework.
